This spacious and unique house needed considerable design love when the clients first purchased it. The original kitchen was crammed into a tight corner, cutting off both views and traffic flow. The old kitchen layout was reconfigured and opened up to the rest of the home, creating a spacious entertaining, cooking and living space that takes advantage of the private backyard wilderness view.
Robin worked with the clients to develop a comprehensive custom kitchen plan and cabinetry design, including setting priorities, creating and revising drawings, and selecting finishes.
This young, professional couple breed big dogs, and love to entertain. They needed an open, stylish space that could stand up to the dogs and their crowd of puppies.
The clean lines and custom details such as the island dog food pull-out, and the base cabinet "drop zone" at the dining room end of the kitchen.
The house came with boxes of the marble backsplash in the garage. They fit the client's aesthetic perfectly, and the rest of the design scheme was built around them.
